This ride follows the coastline of Staten Island between the ferry terminal and Miller Field, offering riders excellent views of the bay. The also travels through the historic Fort Wadsworth. A good portion of the ride takes place on a paved pathway where traffic is very light and the remainder follows bike lanes on roadways with moderate traffic. The ride is mostly flat with the exception of one hill near Fort Wadsworth.
